Auto-Discovery

ArtPoll & Scan Network

One-click Scan / Refresh button sends network ArtPoll queries, auto-discovering console IPs, hostnames, frame rates (FPS), and packet latency in real time.

Console & MIDI DMX Channel Mapping (Universe 1)

Channel / Trigger Target Parameter Range / Operation
Channel 1 (CC #7) Master Brightness Dimmer 0 - 255 (0% to 100% Master Intensity)
Channel 2 (CC #8) Deck A / Deck B Crossfader 0 - 255 (Smooth slider from Deck A to Deck B)
Channel 3 (CC #9) Effect Speed Multiplier 0 - 255 (0.1x to 10.0x dynamic speed)
Channel 4 (CC #10) Audio Sensitivity Slider 0 - 255 (0.0 to 2.0 gain sensitivity)
Channel 5 (Notes 36-51) Preset Storage Cell Trigger 1 - 256 (Instantly launches Storage Cell S1–S256)

🎵 Audio Reactivity & Dual-Driver Engine

Built with real-time WASAPI audio loopback and Steinberg ASIO support, feeding 512-band FFT frequency analysis directly to GPU shader kernels for zero-latency sound-to-light visualization.

WDM Mode

Windows Audio (WDM)

Zero-configuration audio capture for Windows sound cards, USB microphones, line inputs, and virtual desktop audio loopbacks.

ASIO Driver

Steinberg ASIO Support

Bypasses Windows audio mixing for ultra-low latency direct hardware capture on professional audio interfaces (Focusrite, Behringer, Universal Audio).

Shapes

Audio React Shape Modes

Switch live between Ring, Star, Cross, Diamond, Tube, and Square shape geometries reacting to live music kick drums and transients.

Noise Gate

Silence Noise Thresholding

Integrated cutoff logic halts shape movement when sensitivity drops below 0.1 or music stops, preventing random room noise jitter.

⚡ Generative GPU Shader Animation Engine

Dual-deck architecture (Deck A / Deck B) powered by DirectX 12 ComputeSharp C# shaders executing per-pixel calculations parallel in VRAM.

Generative

Color Scroll & Wave

Smoothly pans color gradients across the pixel grid with dynamic rotation, zoom, and spatial wave frequencies.

Generative

Plasma & Metaballs

Generates morphing high-res plasma clouds and organic attraction metaball droplets recalculated every frame on GPU.

Generative

Fire & Cellular Automata

Simulates organic, rising flame columns with adjustable heat dissipation, turbulence, and embers.

Generative

Fluid Dynamics

Navier-Stokes fluid solver calculating swirling smoke and liquid vectors across millions of LEDs.

Media

Video & GIF Playback

Plays MP4, AVI, and animated GIFs with per-pixel scaling, cropping, and color palette remap.

Media

Screen & Webcam Capture

Captures designated desktop regions or live USB webcam feeds to project live video directly onto physical lighting rigs.

🌐 Device Manager & Network Architecture

Manage thousands of Art-Net and sACN universes with low overhead, automatic discovery, and performance tuning.

Art-Net Discovery & Routing

Auto-discovers compliant nodes on the network, assigning software universes (0-255) to physical output ports.

Performance Controls

Tune Frame Time (10ms–100ms) and UDP Send Buffer sizes (1MB–100MB) directly in the UI for rock-solid stability.

Asynchronous Double-Buffering

Dedicated network thread reads from a lock-free double buffer, ensuring slow nodes never drop GPU frame rates.

DMX Trimming Optimization

Dynamically trims DMX packet sizes to the highest patched channel, cutting network bandwidth consumption by up to 60%.

📐 Patch Editor & 3D Viewport

Map physical LED fixtures to software pixel coordinates with intuitive geometric drawing tools and 3D preview.

2D Patch Editor Grid 3D Viewport Matrix Preview

Plot complex perimeter layouts using mathematical shape tools. Place circular fixture arrays, rectangular matrices, or custom LED strip lines effortlessly.

Optimized sparse patch indexing processes only active patched pixel positions, enabling smooth execution on sparse rigs with 500,000+ total canvas pixels.

Project 2D patch grids into a 3D stage volume with real-time camera rotation, pan, and zoom preview controls.

⚙️ Advanced & Architecture Deep Dive

WS Lighting Engine is engineered from the ground up for extreme performance, low latency, and rock-solid stability during live concert tours, festival broadcasts, and architectural facade installations.

DirectX 12 ComputeSharp Pipeline

Leverages dynamic HLSL C# shader compilation via ComputeSharp to calculate millions of LED pixel colors directly in VRAM, eliminating CPU bottlenecking.

Dual-Deck Layer Blending Engine

Dual independent render stacks (Deck A and Deck B) with master crossfading and Photoshop-grade blend modes (Add, Screen, Multiply, Overlay, Max, Min).

Lock-Free Double-Buffered Network Thread

Network transmission operates on an isolated, high-priority background thread with atomic double-buffering. Rendering threads never block on UDP network socket calls.

Power Throttling Prevention

Explicit process power throttling overrides prevent Windows OS from reducing CPU/GPU render frequency when the application window loses focus in high-pressure live environments.

To support displays exceeding 1 million physical LEDs, the engine utilizes a lock-free double-buffered stage array swap (_artNetStageBuffer & _artNetNetworkBuffer). The GPU render thread writes completed frame buffers to stage memory, while a dedicated network thread dispatches Art-Net UDP packets continuously at 44Hz without mutex lock contention.

For custom LED fixture designs where physical LEDs occupy only a portion of the bounding box (e.g. 170,000 active LEDs inside a 2,700,000 pixel bounding box), the engine pre-indexes patched byte offsets (_patchedPixelIndices). GPU kernels compute and stream only the exact patched indices, cutting VRAM memory bandwidth by over 70%.

Every deck maintains 256 instant-recall storage slots (S1–S256). Presets save layer stacks, color palettes, speeds, and effect parameters into JSON state files. The timeline cue list engine sequences storage slots with microsecond accuracy against global audio timecode.

Integrated hardware fingerprinting binds licences securely to motherboard UUID and CPU GUID signatures. Utilizes RSA-2048 asymmetric encryption and offline verification to ensure zero show interruptions during network drops.

Minimum (Up to 10,000 Pixels): Windows 10 (64-bit), Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5, 8GB RAM, DirectX 12 GPU (GTX 1050 / RX 560).

Recommended (100,000+ Pixels): Windows 11 (64-bit), Intel Core i7 / AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM, RTX 3060 / 4060 GPU, Dedicated Gigabit Ethernet NIC for Art-Net/sACN output.
